At one point I lost my photographic equipment. But my creative need urged me to continue materializing images.
For now I take pictures without a camera of my own. I use all the cameras in the world to photograph another world.
I currently build photographs "taking" segments of other photos. The use of the camera has been trivialized exponentially: "Nowadays anyone takes pictures ..." Literally, I take the photos of the others (some segments of those photos) to obtain an invented photo that challenges and surpasses what we have already seen .
Appropriation? It is something that I approach with some caution and respect. I think the world is to take it. We all take pictures. I am not the exception.
There are images impossible to capture with a camera and those are precisely what I ambition. Images that are not in the outside world, but hidden in the inner world.
Those non-existent images were built by "reconstructing" existing ones.
