Born in Brazil, I immigrated to the United States at the early age of three. I grew up experiencing both cultures. As a child I was told that I was often "too sensitive". At the time it seemed like a negative trait to have. Now, at the age of twenty three, I have come to realize that being sensitive is actually a gift, especially when it comes to the arts. I believe it has allowed me to capture emotions, and I hope I will continue to capture these moments.
