Leibovitz became a photographer for Rolling Stone magazine in 1970 at the age of twenty. Since then she has achieved a notoriety on par with some of the celebrities that she photographs. Perhaps the most powerful of her many covers for that magazine is her picture of John Lennon nude (included here) tenderly caressing Yoko Ono's head while kissing her cheek. That cover appeared on an issue soon after Lennon's death.
