Alberto Garcia-Alix: De Donde No Se Vuelve

This collection of some 240 black and white photographs forms part of an ambitious project that García-Alix has been working on for several years in the cities of Madrid, Paris and Peking, and while bearing similar hallmarks to a retrospective is relatively removed from such a conventional production. The title, translated as “Where there is no going back”, mediates on the different lives, experiences and places found throughout the photographer’s travels. Exposing a range of intense sensations, equally gritty as they are weighted, García-Alix’s eye serves as an intense journey in time through some thirty years of his own life.
