Lee Miller Photographer
by Jane Livingston
Publisher's Description
In the 1920s Miller, already a successful fashion model, set off to Paris to pursue her growing interest in photography. With an introduction from Steichen she sought out and became the pupil of Man Ray. Together, they developed the technique of solarization. In the early 30s, Miller broke new ground by taking models out of the studio and photographing them on location in the street. She also worked as a war correspondent for Vogue, and shocked the world with her photographs of Dachau. This book is a selection of her finest photographs.
