Los Angeles, Calif. - August 15, 2009 - Hot off the press this 100 copy Limited Edition Photography book has 275 pages overflowing with vibrant, exciting photographs of the cars, the landscape and the people that make this race amazing!

'Few motoring exploits can generate as much excitement as driving on public roads without speed limits, and The Carrera Panamericana does just that,' says Leslie Kendall, Curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles, California.

In 2008, after four years of being in contact with the organizers of La Carrera Panamericana, Los Angeles based artist Sam Gezari was able to arrange an imbed with the head of public relations for the entire 2000 mile, seven day journey from the southern tip of Mexico to the Northern U.S. border.

Starting in Tuxtla Gutierrez, MX and ending in Nuevo Laredo, TX. the course winds through mountains and deserts, jungles and swamps, covering every terrain in Mexico, and takes the drivers and their copilots from sea level to over 8000 ft. This makes the course one of the most technically demanding in the world and tests the drivers endurance and skill at every stage.

This high quality, handmade and beautifully rendered photography book is the perfect companion for any race enthusiast. With his skillful eye Sam Gezari captures the essence of the experience. Distilled through his lens you see the rush and thrill of the road combined with the quiet moments in between, making a mesmerizing photographic roadmap of the race itself.
