Los Ojos que no Ven
by Ivo Rovira & Ana Ponce
“Los ojos que no ven” ("Eyes that do not see") is a photo book by Ivo Rovira and Ana Ponce, together with the NGO Proyecto Visión and sponsored by the National Organization of the Spanish Blind (ONCE). It offers a look into the world of reversible blindness in a land that is as pristine and moving as strong and unforgiving, northeastern Ethiopia. The book edition groups photographs under three headings: Gidela's journey, The eyes of Tigray and Snapshots of a country. A collection of images that show us the disease and its cure, nature, the peoples living there, through portraits and a tour of the country from north to south. Ivo and Ana want to drag us into this journey, allowing us to see the world through their camera to, perhaps, understand the logic of a place and a people so different and yet similar to ourselves. Book's technical data: Photo book. 144 pages with 107 photographs. 23 x 30 cm. Hardback. Text of the authors (in Spanish, English and Catalan). 2,500 copies. ISBN: 978-84-615-5921-3.
