This is the fourth publication in an ongoing series, continuing to capture the essence of Friesland. Each installment offers a deeper look into the lives of those who call this picturesque part of the world home, highlighting its history, its people, and its evolving identity.
“Hardcore Vibes” is the second book published in collaboration with Chemistry Publishing. Through 66 photographs, Bouwe takes you along three editions of a Hardcore festival PLAY held in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. The book offers a unique and personal perspective through the eyes of the photographer on a subculture that emerged in the Netherlands during the 1990s and still maintains a strong presence today.
This 108 pages, hand-bound softcover book features a text about The Beginning of the Rave Revolution in Friesland, written by Da Mouth of Madness, the iconic Voice of Hardcore. In the early ’90s, he and DJ Uzi helped shape the scene through legendary performances at Thunderdome and beyond.
