Great photographers (Life library of photography)

The editors of Time-Life Books have divided the years between 1840 and 1980 into seven 20 year periods and identified some of the great photographers within each. The period from 1960-1980, for example, contains and comments upon work by William A. Garnett, Marie Cosindas, Paul Caponigro, Jerry Uelsmann, Duane Michals, Robert Heinecken, Diane Arbus, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, Josef Koudelka, Donald McCullin, William Eggleston, Stephen Shore, and Joel Meyerowitz.
