Grand Canyon, A Century of Change: Rephotography of the 1889-1890 Stanton Expedition

This is the best rephotographic book to come out since Mark Klett's classic Second View. Robert Webb has supervised an extensive re-exploration of Robert Stanton's 1889-90 trip down the Colorado River, recording geological changes, changes in the landscape, and narrarating them both. The images, made by numerous survey crews, replicate Stanton's original photographs down to the arrangement of boats and people in the scene.
