Walker Evans: America

Anticipating a large-scale exhibit at the National Gallery of Art in 1991, this is a major survey of the work of Walker Evans, the quintessentially American photographer. The photographs, made between 1927 and 1948, include many of Evans' best-known images, as well as a number that have been less widely reproduced. Printed in duotone, the reproductions are superb.
