Long overdue, this monograph thoroughly examines the photographic career of philosopher, novelist, and mathematician, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll). In the past, much attention has been payed to his nude portraits. Reflections takes a more comprehensive approach, relating the broader interests informing Carroll's work--of which "play" figures prominently. Finely wrought illustrations round out the anthology, beautifully reproducing Carroll's original albumen prints.
