With images by some of the biggest names in contemporary Italian photography, An Eye for the City offers an excellent chance to view work by artists who are enjoying wider acceptance and acclaim here in the States. It also serves the ends of artistic cross-pollination. Ms. Russo states in her notes that all of the participants in this exhibition learned much about photography by studying the work of great Americans. After careful viewing of this book, it is clear that much can be learned from our Italian counterparts.
