Black & White: Photographic Printing Workshop

Bartlett's title is a true workshop. The first chapters layout his methodology for printing, covering basic (developing, test strips, burning and dodging) and advanced techniques (split-printing, flashing, and retouching). However, most of the book is a well illustrated explination of the printing of nearly 50 different types of photographs. His printing diagrams, are a useful approach to burning and dodging, and make this title an excellent resource for anyone interested in perfecting their high-impact printing technique.
