Brendan Cain is a photographer and artist based in New York city. After attending arts conservatory for both high school and college he began assisting photographers in New York. He returned to school at UNC-Chapel Hill where his graduate studies focused on critical theory and comparative literature. His interest in the act of art and creation, however, ultimately held sway and pulled him back to New York. His work is often concerned with the intersection of the formal and informal, and the strength, no matter how subtle, of character. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
