I am a student at Elgin Community College in Elgin, IL, a Northwest suburb of Chicago. I am about to obtain my Associates Degree and am figuring out where to go to get my BFA. I have been taking photos now for five years. In 2017 I traveled to the Eastman Museum in Rochester, NY with my photo professor, where we took a week long tintype workshop. I use film, wet plate, and instant film for all of my work because I like that these types of photography force me to slow down and think hard about every photo I take. I believe it gives me more time to interact with my subject and create a more meaningful photograph. Despite being a student and only taking photos for the past five years, I have been accepted into exhibitions all across the United States including San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, and New York City. I have been featured in The Hand Magazine, and have been a featured workshop presenter, and panelist at Polacon (Instant Film Convention) in Texas for the past three years.
