I was born in Vicenza in 1966. I’m an amateur photographer, who loves to transfer the vision of reality as I see it, in a paper support with the help of a camera.
The passion began by leafing through the books of the great masters, fascinated by the black and white of the most famous photographers.
I gradually grew up talking about cameras, films, exposure times, apertures and filters. Some theoretical and practical photography courses were very useful for learning the basics.
Ansel Adams has given a decisive turn to my wealth of experience. The book on black and white printing and its “zonal system” was decisive for the decision to be able to see my shots taken in the dark room. The choice of acids, the papers, the exposure times, the magic of seeing the image immersed in the tray appear second after second have always been something fascinating and satisfying at the same time. On the other hand, I have always pre-visualized my photographs before taking them, so it was very natural for me to finalize my work up to the final print.
With the advent of digital I realized that the influence of analogue still remains a valid and absolutely current school.
