After more than a decade working with TV commercials, in his native São Paulo, in 2014 Chico Kfouri moved to Vancouver, Canada, to study cinematography at Capilano University.
For the last 3 years, Chico has been living in South Asia (Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka), traveling the world and developing his true passion, photography.
In Bangladesh he had the chance to teach cinematography to an enthusiastic group of youngsters at the renowned Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. He was also, according to local authorities, the first Brazilian to visit and register the tribes of the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
During his period in India he had the chance to witness the wonders of that country, to have contact and to learn from great masters of photography, such as Raghu Rai, from Creative Image Magazine, where one of Chico’s image from Pushkar was published; and the brothers Vineet and Rohit Vohra, from APF Magazine.
