I'm a freelance writer and photographer from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I spent 8 years on the project these photos are taken from, while concurrently working on other personal projects, as well as assignment work for The New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Captain Morgan Rum, The Grand Ole Opry, CMT, DRC, and other organizations and publications. I'm currently getting my feet wet in the world of music photography and journalism, and enjoying the new inspiration that a change in career direction brings.
