I graduated from Chelsea College of Art in 2013 with a Masters Degree in Fine Art. The foundation of my work is an enquiry into the aesthetics and authenticity of imagery in our hyper-mediatised & increasingly derealised culture.
My starting point seems to have been to be trapped, or torn - between default peripherality in ‘real’ life against the immersion and overload I still feel online.
Primary practice is large / medium format film photography and some video, experimenting with colour, tone and edit to investigate the ambiguities of experience, memory and their pictorial representation.
Places on International artistic residency programmes have previously been granted in Australia and Japan. Recent shows include galleries in Shoreditch and Holland Park in London. I live and work on the coast in England, in St. Leonard’s-on-Sea, East Sussex.
