About christian sanna

Born in 1989, Christian SANNA is a multi-origin person. His mother is Malagasy/chinese/english and is father grew up in Sardegna (Italy). Has an Italian/Malagasy Christian SANNA grew up in Nosy Be (Madagascar) where he lived until 2009, date on which he starts studying in France. After a few years in France he discover the potential of photography as an art form which could help him create a link with Madagascar and his diverses identities.

In 2016, after three years of photographic studies at ETPA in Toulouse, he wins the Grand Picture Prize and start showing and exhibiting his projects.

His works were exhibited at Festival Manifesto (Toulouse), "Les promenades photographiques" in Vendôme, the Summer Open 2018 at Aperture fondation (NYC). In December 2017, his project Moraingy was selected and exhibited during the "11th Rencontres de Bamako, African Biennale of Photography". Christian Sanna had is first solo exhibition at the French institut of Antananarivo in July 2018.
