Christine Breslin is a documentary and fine art photographer and educator whose primary interests are women, family issues, and immigration. With decades of teaching at higher education institutions across Connecticut, Christine revels in sharing the joy of both analog and digital photography along with photographic storytelling with her students. Recently, she’s been blending her fine art portraiture and a deep interest in the immigrant experience in a personal project using the wet collodion process.
Her career began as an independent photojournalist at editorial publications and non-profit organizations. Christine has exhibited still photography and video projects in more than thirty venues nationally including the New Britain (CT) Museum of American Art where her work is held in the permanent collection. Her images are in the Polaroid Collection and the recent book, Jill Enfield’s Guide to Photographic Alternative Processes, Christine holds a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut.
