Claudio Edinger (n. 1952) is the award winning author of 17 photobooks and a novel .

Edinger received the Leica Medal of Excellence twice, in1983 and 1985; the Hasselblad Award, in 2012; The Higashikawa Award (Japan), in 1999; Life Magazine Award, in 1989; The Ernst Haas Award, in 1990; the JP Morgan Award (Brazil) in 1992; the Pictures of the Year Award, in 1992; the Marc Ferrez Award (Brazil), in 2012; and the Brasil Porto Seguro Prize (twice), in 2007 and 2011.

His work is in the collection of Museum of Art of São Paulo (MASP), Museum of Image and Sound (MIS, Brazil), Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM), Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo (MAC), Metropolitan Museum of Curitiba (MMC, Brazil), Pinacoteca Museum (Brazil), Museum Metronòn (Barcelona), AT&T Photo Collection, Equity International Photo Collection, Brazil Golden Art Fund, Itaú Cultural (Brazil), Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil and in the most important private art collections of his country.
