As a photographer, I capture memories…memories of travel, animals, special events and, most importantly, people…especially my four “off-the-charts” photogenic grandchildren. My photography is infused with strong, personal connections.
In terms of educational background, I have a B.A. in Economics and Psychology and an M.Ed. in Special Education for the Blind and Visually. This background has informed my photographic interests in both people and places. Additionally, I have taken photography courses at the Pittsburgh Filmmakers and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts
My photography has been accepted into regional, national and international juried exhibitions, including a solo show entitled, The Israelite Samaritans and the Festival of Unleavened Bread; Photography by Dale Lazar containing 42 photographs.
In short, I am a philanthropic photographer who "shoots to share" and when not depressing a shutter button, I own a coin-operated amusement business (www.hlazarandson.com).
