I have been a working photographer since the '80s. I usually work in projects. My next to last project, A Family History, attempted to give a narration of immigration and Jewish culture in America in the context of serious visual art. I have been involved in various San Francisco photographic institutions over the years, including Eye Gallery Collective (for which I curated several, well-received photographic shows), Media Alliance and Camerawork. I've studied at City College of San Francisco and Columbia University and was an instructor of photography at University of California, Berkeley, Extension for 22 years.
