When I make photographs, I look to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary, and to explore the potential in everyday moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Living and working in Chicago, I have noticed that we often tend not to appreciate our surroundings. We move purposefully along sidewalks and streets, through stores and train stations, among other people, traffic and bustle often missing the extraordinary. Imagine what we might see if we take the time to appreciate our surroundings.
I use photography as a tool to express my perceptions of this ordinary and extraordinary world we inhabit and share.
