About Demétrio Jereissati

I was born in Brazil and began taking photographs in 2013 when I was 53 years old, during a family trip to Patagonia, Chile. Several months later, one of the photos I captured during that trip received the bronze medal in the international competition called Brasília Photo Show. Although I work as a civil engineer, I am often more captivated by the shapes, lights, and shadows in photography rather than the actual subject. Through photography, individuals can connect with and expand their emotions, visualizing the image and giving it their own interpretation.
