I’m an amateur (57 years old), my parents offer me my first Kodak when was 12 years old and I bought my first Nikon reflex when I was 18 years old with my first salary of summer job). In the eighties I was developing my photos in my bathroom like many people at that time. Almost at the same time I bought a Minox mini (second hand) to make street photography but the quality and development was “so-so”. I started digital camera in 2003 almost exclusively with Nikon since the beginning. As I like bright lenses and night shooting the weight and the size of the camera is becoming an issue for my business trip (Every year since more than 20 years I’m traveling to Japan, Thailand more than 4 times per year and also North, West and Central Africa and Indian ocean) then I decide to purchase a Leica Q , who is a magic camera. In the next five years I’ll have more time (retirement), it’s may be time to start a new career of photograph … (^_^).
My pictures are a kind of resistance to the impermanence. I’ve learn and adopted the concept of “impermanence” (coming from Buddhism) or “Mujô” (in Japanese) but it’s a bit too long to explain just for this photo contest. You can see more picture on my Facebook page all photos are public.
