About Domnick Sorace

Domnick Sorace was born in 1994, Reggio Calabria, Italy, and was raised between Italy and Malta. He graduated in 2017 with a B.A. First Class (Honours) Degree in Fine Arts from MCAST Institute of Creative Arts, Malta. In the same year he moved to Ireland, where he was awarded a Studio Residency and Material Funding from VISUAL Centre of Contemporary Art. In 2018, he moved to Dublin to continue to pursue his artistic practice and career, where he became a studio member at The Complex Arts Centre and subsequently was awarded Studio Subsidisation by the Arts Council of Ireland, until May 2020. Sorace has exhibited both in Malta, Brussels, had his first solo show, untitled BitterSweet on the Tongue in January 2020 at the Ground Gallery, Dublin. In 2023 he was awarded the Individual Artist Bursary Award by South Dublin City Council for the production of new work.
