Australian born, Donna Stevens is an emerging photographer. She creates images for the commercial and fine art world.
Previously, Donna worked as an Art Director in Advertising for 12 years, where she created international ad campaigns for George Patterson Y&;R, Leo Burnett & JWT.
In revolt against her years as a commercial artist, where she created images that offered up a false promise of perfection; her work now endeavours to explore the realities of life.
Since transitioning into photography 4 years ago she has not looked back, loving her new found career.
Her passion for photographing people and their place in the world, is already being recognised locally and internationally.
She was a finalist in the The National Portrait Prize 2014.
And recently her series Idiot Box was showcased on Feature Shoot, then featured in WIRED, lodown magazine, CNN, Fox, Metro, BuzzFeed, The Independant (UK) and Suddeutsche Zeitung (Germany).
Donna currently works in Brooklyn, New York.
