My grandmother was a painter and a pianist. She taught me about art and music. My father was an artist for the Associated Press and my uncle was a photographer for the Daily News. I grew up taking photographs and majored in Art Education. I painted on masonite boards with painting knives. At the end of the class all it took was a paper towel to clean the knives and I was out the door.
