Born and raised in Brazil, an expatriate since 2012, 100% self-taught in photography.
I decided to start photographing after discovering the work of Cartier-Bresson. I started out trying to emulate his style. In my mind, this meant using a manual film camera (when digital was already all the rage) but mainly photographing with strict attention to composition, capturing scenes that arise spontaneously and manipulating the original captures as little as possible.
In terms of subjects, I have a marked preference for surreal, unusual and unwittingly humorous scenes. That is why one sees all kinds of stuff in my photos. In the end, I don`t photograph people, places or objects - I photograph moments.
I hope that when you look at my photos you will feel some of the joy I felt when creating them.
