About ELISA MARIOTTI

Born in 1972, I have a technical background.
Driven by principles that protect human rights, I focus on documentary photography and social issues. My works are usually long-term projects.

About my projects
- HUMANs (2024 - ) Multimedia project on the role of families in the personal journey of individuals with problems related to drug addiction.
- A Letter From Home (2021 – 2023)
- YES, WE DO (2022 – ) The gender gap told by photographing women doing jobs or activities "normally" reserved for men.
- From the same land (2020) Photobook dedicated to Palestinian children in Israeli prisons. Since 2020, thanks to this publication, I have been holding public meetings to raise awareness on the issue.

As a teenager, I started developing and print photos self-taught.
Since 2018, I have been attending workshops and long-term photography courses, as well as courses on the history of photography and visual arts. Currently, I am complementing my education with writing courses.
