LA native Elisabeth Caren earned her in Theater and Film Studies from Boston University's College of Fine Arts. She started her career in film production and development working for Barry Sonnenfeld and Kathryn Bigelow. She began her photography career as a unit stills photographer on set for film and television as well as entertainment reportage. Elisabeth's fine art work has been exhibited in Basel, Switzerland, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Toronto and San Francisco. Many of the themes found in her fine art revolve around the society’s changing perception of gender roles, identity, and marriage from a feminist point of view, and what it means to feel free to be oneself, which stem from her experience of having been in a traditional marriage to a man for several years and then surprisingly falling in love with a French woman, now her wife, who has been her partner for 12 years and have a son. Based in Los Angeles, she spends as much time as she can in New York and Paris.
