I was born in 1970 in Rome Italy, I've been in Australia for 10 years, and I currently reside in Barcelona, Spain.
My passion for photography came out more than 30 years ago. At the age of 10 years, suddenly, after having seen the film ' Blow up' of the maestro Michelangelo Antonioni, began to 'still and borrow' the camera of my father in order to discover and document at my way the world surrounding me. This passion began to take a real shape at the age of 19 during my compulsory military service. There I was granted a scholarship to study documentary photography, and so I develop my enthusiasm for photography; In addition, I was given the responsibility of being troop reporter. After my contribution to the Italian Government, to improve my photographic technique and to keep in touch with the world of images, I started working as an Assistant photographer for weddings reportages. Although my curiosity for photography grew every day more, I decided to dedicate myself professionally to the world of nursing.
In this way, between nursing and photography came the opportunity to follow my third passion: anthropology, and I enrolled at the Faculty of Cultural Anthropology of the University of Rome.
But after several years of exams and good marks as working student I could not complete the graduation and I ended my career as anthropologist, This, however, did not diminish my passion for anthropology.
My profession of nurse and photographer took me up to the Antipodes, specifically to Australia. There I developed and perfected my nurse career working as a Critical Nurse Specialist in the ICU of several hospitals, in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Continuing with my interests I grow and learn every day more so, while in Australia, I took the opportunity to do a photography course at the University of Melbourne.
Once, began to collaborate, as a 'freelance', with photo agencies such as Masterphoto and newspapers (i.e La Repubblica) for Italy, as well as in Australia, for Tito Media Agency and newspapers ( i.e. The Age). Currently, I'm still Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).
Already in Barcelona (Spain), in the past years, I've done a specialization courses of photojournalism (2010-2011) and still life, portrait and fashion photography (2011-2012) in the Superior School of Photography (GRISART) of Barcelona and in 2016 a postgrade in photojournalism at UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona ). Now I’m a contributing photographer for elPeriódico (Spanish newspaper) covering all major events.
