I worked in Milan for a B+W laboratory, Shades of Gray, later Juan Gil studios. We would develop and print the work of many of the fashion and commercial photographers in the area as well as a good amount of photojournalists with Magnum and Contrasto. For me, it was the best education ever to see all these contact sheets and see how a photographer would work the scene.
Later, I moved back to the states and studied to become a nurse practitioner working in mental health with veterans.
