Francesca Marengo (b. 1994) visual artist.
I studied photography at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Turin from 2013 to 2016. After I have worked with different photographers and I have collaborated with art galleries to set up exhibitions and events.
At the core of my personal artistic research there has always been a deep and careful analysis of the concept of the voyage seen either as a way to move from place to place, or as a memory from the past. The past, its memories and the voyage emerge clearly in the work “Orizonte” but also a more current interpretation of voyage as a desperate migration towards a better future is portrayed in a personal project of photographs taken at the Ritsona Refugee Camp in Athens.
