Fred van Veluw studied at the Foto Academie in the Netherlands and graduated May 2015. Photography for him is a way to express his feelings and emotions. All of his work is concentrated around the themes of threat, fear and dismay. He creates visual fiction with strong emotions. Through suggestive staging he presents a tableaux of uncertainty that could become reality. He constructs situations and expresses emotions he wants viewers to experience. He challenges them to associate from their own backgrounds, from their own experiences, with his photographs.
