Technically speaking Fred Mitchell is legally blind, but through the miracle of optometry this German born artist was afforded the ability of sight. He has used this fortunate gift to take photographs and make photobooks. When not working, he is adjusting to his new role as a father, while trying to win the affection of his two dogs, who prefer the company of his spouse and daughter.
His first monograph IF YOU GO all the PLANTS WILL DIE is available through Yoffy Press. With a wry wit, this photo book interprets a deteriorating relationship through dead plants, color plates, and poetry.
