In mid-2013, I decided to break loose from the bonds of the automatic camera mode as to allow myself the freedom to control what I create from what I viewed of the world through the lens of my camera - the creative freedom to fully express my artistic visions and to "speak" through my images.
And so, equipped with my "eye" for what I felt was visually pleasing, thought-provoking, and/or "moving", I set forth into the new world of photography, beginning with purchasing an entry level professional camera; prior to that I used basically "point & shoot" cameras, which was only the first of many more equipment purchases I come to learn is a photographer's vice.
With the proper equipment in hand, I began attending workshops, participating in photo shoots with other talented photographers & models, reading and watching whatever tutorials I could get my hands on in the art and technique of a variety of different styles of photography - both artistically and foundationally.
