While studying for his bachelor's degree in communications, Fred started to see photography's documentary approach as an effective way to feed and satisfy his curiosity, and made it his main medium of communication. Self-taught, his 35mm and 120mm film works are mainly based on methodical observations in topography and ethnography. The natural arrangements of our surroundings and the way societies interact (or don't) with these topographies, lead to very singular scenes. Then his work is seeking to be a visual document about the resulting aesthetics of these natural, modified or created environments and the way humankind and its constructs fit into these spaces.
