Gg’s earliest influences were Ansel Adams and Andy Warhol; geniuses of the real and the surreal. Her appetite to understand the world from different points of view led her to travel the world as a professional photographer until arriving in Guatemala. Gg currently resides in La Antigua Guatemala as a fine art photographer. She is the first foreigner to be awarded an exhibit at the National Palace in Guatemala with her show: “El Tiempo de no Tiempo” (The Time of no Time). Her work has been published in numerous international and national publications, and most recently awarded Jurors prize in the Fifth Wednesday Journal. In her own words:
“Photography is a sort of Alchemy of the Soul for me. I look to see the World and our place in it from the point of view of our sameness, not our differences, from it's beauty, not it's pain. I look for what inspires me, the mysterious and magical, the things that fortify hope. Photography for me is not so much about personal expression; it’s about connecting.”
