About Gary Paige

My introduction to Photography began with a camera at age 7 and developed into a life-long passionate endeavor. This did not, however, preclude academics, which increasingly seized attention and ultimately a career in medicine and neuroscience in a University setting. Juggling the two is a challenge. My solution—exploit gaps in the yearly calendar, including engaging vacations and time added to professional meetings. These opportunities serve as photographic “experiments” that resemble their scientific counterparts and serve as an interdisciplinary collaboration of sorts. My wife, Myrna, also shares a career in the medical field as well as a passion for photography. We focus particularly on wildlife/nature and travel/culture. Photography guides our priorities wherever we are, and we have been honing our tastes and skills for years, much as with our 'day' professions.
