About Gary Rea

I am an emerging fine art photographer living in Seattle. My background includes being a photo lab technician while in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, as well as course work in photojournalism and a B.A. degree in Graphic Design. I have been doing photography for 44 years and have been doing street photography exclusively since 2012, in black and white. I shoot full-time, up to seven days per week, and produce a few hundred images per week. During May 1-20, 2015, one of my pieces appeared in the juried exhibition "Shadow and Light" at Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
