About George Robb

Belfast Based Photographer George Robb is a resident artist in Embrace Studios. he completed his MFA photography in 2019 from Belfast School of Art Ulster University. H. He has been exhibiting for over 20 years in numerous exhibitions and festivals.

In 2015 George went full-time as an artist and has concentrated on the development of two photo essay’s Union and Bonfires that are exploring ‘Orange’ culture in a NI community context. He has also been experimenting with his photographs in various scales and means of production.

In 2016 George was awarded an Arts Council Northern Ireland, Support for Individual Artists award and an ADF award for professional development that is allowing him to develop new works for exhibition purposes. He was one of 140 artists selected to represent Ireland in the Luciano Bennetton, Imago Mundi contemporary artists collection.
