About George Themelis

From working on the set of TV commercials as a crew guy I went to the Maine Photo Workshop in 1983 to take a 3 month basic photography class. There I mastered my 4x5 Linhof Technica and went on to master the 8x10 camera as well. Eventually in the late 90's and 2000's I became a photojournalist shooting in the waning days of 35mm film and analogue video. Eventually I shot weddings, events and lots of portraits. I currently work as a content provider for an animal conservancy group going to animal shelters, playing with dogs and cats while photographing them in stills and video then posting them with my evaluation on social media. Photography has been in my DNA since I was a teenager,
