Giorgio Majno was born in 1954 in Milano, Italy, where he lives and works
today.
He studied at Bologna University, graduating with a major in photography.
After obtaining a Fulbright Grant in 1980, he received his Master of Fine Arts
(MFA) at SIU Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, USA. His thesis
presentation was in portraiture.
In 1983 he opened his first studio in Milano.
Currently Giorgio teaches “History and Techniques of Photography” at the
Faculty of Design and Arts of Venice University (IUAV), situated in San Marino,
Italy.
