After graduating from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, I lived in New York City and covered a range of subjects for newspapers and magazines such as Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, The Bergen Record, GQ, Self, and Seventeen. I reported on breaking news, wrote features and profiles, and interviewed professional, college, and Olympic athletes. Through all of my assignments as a reporter and writer, I must admit I was always a little jealous of the photographers. I now put my writing skills to use as a communications director at USC. I'm very involved as a student at the Los Angeles Center of Photography, where I have the opportunity to learn from remarkable instructors and alongside very talented fellow photographers. My recent accomplishments include: First Place winner, Photo District News, The Shot 2014 sports photography contest; Second Annual Members' Exhibition, juried by Patricia Lanza of the Annenberg Space for Photography, dnj Gallery at Bergamot Station; Street Shooting in Los Angeles Exhibition, dnj Gallery at Bergamot Station; First Annual Street Shooting Exhibition, juried by Sam Abell, Julia Dean, and Stephen McLaren, Los Angeles Center of Photography; and First Annual Members’ Exhibition, juried by Paul Kopeiken, Los Angeles Center of Photography.
