I had an education as a photographer at former Bavarian State School for photography in Munich and was already as a student co-founder of Producers Gallery Adelgundenstrasse in Munich where I also had my first show and started to published photobooks. Among others the anthology "52 Young Germans Photographers" which was awarded Kodak Photobook Prize in 1981.
Later I turned to Documentary Filmmaking which is still part of my life as it is photography, which is becoming more and more important again.
