Hilde Maassen playfully experiments with the photographic medium researching what is in the image unseen captured. Often trial and error approaches are involved. This results in images, sound, 3D prints and augmented reality experiences.
The subjects in the images may vary, but Hilde is always looking for a certain transformation or alienation often with a little exaggeration. The image itself must evoke a feeling of revelation, wonder and sometimes even disturbance. This
